Heart attacks are unpredictable and hard to diagnose by yourself. Discover the symptoms of heart attacks.
The problem with heart attacks is that they are unpredictable. Read on to see what the heart attack symptoms are so you can determine whether you should get assistance.
What is a heart attack?
When your coronary artery (one of your blood vessels that supplies your heart with blood) carrying the much needed oxygen blood to your heart becomes blocked by a blood clot. Once the heart is cut off from the blood a heart attack occurs.
A heart attack can cause damage to the actual muscle and most off this damage can be permanent if the heart isn’t treated in time because your heart is being deprived from oxygen.
To prevent damage you must seek medical help but as heart attacks are unpredictable you must know the symptoms to be sure that you are able to get assistance.
Symptoms:
• Increased or irregular heart rate
• Spreading pain around shoulders, neck or arms
• Nausea, shortness of breath, fainting and chest discomfort.
Unlike a cold these signs won’t occur all at the same time instead they will occur at random times. If you keep experiencing one or more of these symptoms then you should seek help immediately.
Heart attacks can be treated if you get medical assistance ASAP so make sure you call 911 if you experience one of these heart attack symptoms or if you have a heart attack, it is better to be safe than sorry.
