Women Heart Attack Symptoms

Women also have a high chance of experiencing heart attacks but many don’t know the symptoms for them. Discover the symptoms of heart attacks here.

Some women feel that they are less vulnerable to heart attacks than men are but what you should know is that they actually account for half of the heart attack deaths and this is mostly because they don’t know women heart attack symptoms.

It has been debated whether the attack symptoms for women are different to those of men. Studies show that there are some variations but still the biggest symptom that either men or women could experience is pain and discomfort in the chest area. Other than that there are other symptoms for heart attacks and these are:

• Shortness of breath, nausea, sweating, light headedness
• Pain and discomfort the chest area, neck, arms, shoulders
• Unusual Fatigue
• Sleep disturbance

The symptoms that are commonly seen in women but not in men include:

• Indigestion
• Sleep disturbance
• Weakness in arms

These symptoms can be seen on a day to day basis and sometimes they don’t even occur at the same time making it harder to recognize them as signs of heart attacks.

Heart attacks can be treated but if you don’t get any assistance you may experience permanent damage to your heart because of the lack of oxygen to your muscle so make sure that if you experience any symptoms or if you do have a heart attack you contact medical assistance immediately to prevent any permanent heart damage.
